Description
The Cortez is where Nike starts. Bill Bowerman designed it in 1972 as the company's first real running shoe, and it outlived running entirely — it became an LA shoe, a film shoe, and eventually just a classic.
White leather with the red and blue stripe is the original colourway, and it has never been improved on. Nothing on this shoe has changed in fifty years, which tells you the design was right the first time.
